چکیده

Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) is a fish species with long history of cultivation and bacterial pathogens are limiting the success rate. The aim this study biochemical molecular identification two opportunistic detected in rainbow cultured net cages dam lake located on Kızılırmak river; revealing pathological symptoms them moribund samples; determination their antimicrobial susceptibility profile antagonistic effect probiotic-candidate strains against them. Depending results conventional bacteriologic studies, isolates recovered from internal organs samples, mixed infection case Bacillus gibsonii Sphingomonas echinoides was identified samples showing general hemorrhagic septicemia for first time trout. Despite it not possible to identify these at level using bacteriological methods, our separately showed similarities more than 99% above mentioned 16s RNA sequence analysis. that, term water quality parameter distribution monitoring studies which include tools should be carried out aquaculture sites increase culture.

Rainbow Trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss

Rainbow trout are classified as Oncorhynchus mykiss, and as such belong to the same genus as Pacific salmon, and to the family Salmonidae, which includes Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), various trout (Salvelinus sp.), Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus), Arctic grayling (Thymallus arcticus) and whitefish (Coregonus sp.). Rainbow trout are native to areas around the North Pacific Ocean, from souther...

Gyrodactylid ectoparasites in a population of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).

A colony of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in a decentralized aquatic animal facility was noted to have an increase in morbidity and mortality (from 4 or 5 fish each month to 3 or 4 fish daily) approximately 2 wk after experimental procedures began. The primary clinical signs were erratic swimming behavior and 'flashing' of fish against surfaces within housing enclosures. Moribund and norm...

Introduce of Pseudomonas psychrophila, as a new Pathogen Causing Disease in Cultured Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

This is the first report on the world that Pseudomonas psychrophila is a new etiological agent of disease in fish. A disease case occurred during the fall of 2017 in a rainbow trout farm in the north of Iran (Guilan province). Anorexia, lethargy and mortalities of 10% fish per week were observed in rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss weighting 45-107g in three fresh water ponds of a farm on the n...

Serotonin-induced brain glycogenolysis in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).

In this study, we evaluated the serotonin-mediated control of cerebral glycogen levels in the rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. Intracerebroventricular (i.c.v.) administration of serotonin (5-HT) to normoglycemic trout (time and dose response) decreased glycogen levels in the brain and increased brain glycogen phosphorylase activity (time response). In hypoglycemic fish (that had been fasted ...

Hydrogen sulfide stimulates catecholamine secretion in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).

We tested the hypothesis that endogenously produced hydrogen sulfide (H(2)S) can potentially contribute to the adrenergic stress response in rainbow trout by initiating catecholamine secretion from chromaffin cells. During acute hypoxia (water Po(2) = 35 mmHg), plasma H(2)S levels were significantly elevated concurrently with a rise in circulating catecholamine concentrations. Tissues enriched ...
